[At first, there's an up close and personal view of a Snivy, curiously fiddling with the Pokegear. A woman calls and the grass-type drops it to go scampering off toward the source. A moment later, Mom Lalonde picks it up.]

Excuse her. Curiosity and mischief bundled into one creature seems to be a combination that yields...interesting results. One of them being the theft of communication devices.

[She shrugs, not really bothered by this. Actually, she looks amused by it.]

That being said, where am I? Not to be ungrateful for another chance at life, but this isn't quite what I expected to end up in.

[The Snivy climbs up onto Mom's shoulder, glancing haughtily at the 'gear.]

Though, the creatures we were given are pretty cute, I have to say. Wherever this is, it's not so bad.

[It can be a hell of a lot worse, anyway.]

I can't say I really followed the Pokemon franchise, so I think I'm totally in the dark about all this.

[Her Snivy is unimpressed. :|]

[He brightens a bit. Wow, it's like a compliment and shit.] Heard Rose, and she's like, [He manuvears his gear so she can see the shape of wings and Rose Lalonde not too far behind him.] There.

So you'll see both of us when we get there.

[She's amused.]

You two don't waste time. How long do you expect it to take to get to New Bark Town?

A day or two, depends on the wind. We'll be there before too long.

As long as our hostess doesn't mind it, I think it'll be okay.

Doubt she will, she's supposed to 'mom'. Not my mom but still. If a parent doesn't get that you people can't handle the weather right now, then shit just ain't right.

A fair point. If the weather gets too bad up there, then don't worry about it. I'd rather the two of you not get hurt.

[Her tone is a little stern.]

[He blinks, surprised she added him into her concerns without knowing who he is. Huh. That made him see more of what Rose was talking about.]

Don't worry about it. We've weathered a lot worse than this. It's annoying sure, but it's no big deal. We'll be just fine. For one she makes really thick wooly stuff and we got this. Making it happen.

The last thing I'd want is for you both to get caught in blizzard conditions. Just be careful and don't push yourselves too far.

I know, I know. We just don't you freezing to death either. Once we arrive, we'll wing us all for Golden Rod.

Oh, I'll be nice and cozy either at the lab or our odd hostess' house.
