[At first, there's an up close and personal view of a Snivy, curiously fiddling with the Pokegear. A woman calls and the grass-type drops it to go scampering off toward the source. A moment later, Mom Lalonde picks it up.]

Excuse her. Curiosity and mischief bundled into one creature seems to be a combination that yields...interesting results. One of them being the theft of communication devices.

[She shrugs, not really bothered by this. Actually, she looks amused by it.]

That being said, where am I? Not to be ungrateful for another chance at life, but this isn't quite what I expected to end up in.

[The Snivy climbs up onto Mom's shoulder, glancing haughtily at the 'gear.]

Though, the creatures we were given are pretty cute, I have to say. Wherever this is, it's not so bad.

[It can be a hell of a lot worse, anyway.]

It does! Trainers get discounts on healing items though, and have an easier way of making money through the countless battles. I am still working up my team before taking on any gyms though.

Then again, I suppose that would balance how breeders could potentially sell the Pokemon eggs to other people. What are the gyms like?

Well, the leaders use one specific type each. The one in Violet is considered the first for many, because Falkner has the lowest leveled ones in the range of thirties. He uses all flying types.

That makes sense. Do you know anything about the other region? I've noticed that the map function lists a place called "Kanto."

Kanto.. Oh, that's the version that is the same as the games I played! It has Pallet Town, Viridian City, and the likes. I'm certain it has all the same Pokemon that Johto has though.

Hm. Two regions to potentially explore. At least this place doesn't keep one bored for very long.
